Jayavi Lanka


Jayawi Lanka is a non-political, non-profit, youth run, independent, youth development foundation. Jayawi is comprised of youth who are interested in various social and economical issues and have a willingness to develop themselves, from Galle District, Southern Province in Sri Lanka. Jayawi does not discriminate on the basis of race, colours, sex, and creed, religion, national or ethnic.

Active Leadership

We believe that leaders can be developed by providing them with right knowledge, skills and attitudes and in return they will shape the future of the society.

Diversity

We live in a multicultural society with different opinions and ways of life that encourage us to learn from each other

Learning

We live in a knowledge society and applied knowledge has become the only way to deal with the so called change. We seek to create learning opportunities whenever it is possible. We learn through our mistakes and learn by doing.

We are consistent and transparent in our decisions and actions and we are true to our identity.

Sustainability

We act in a way that is sustainable for both us and our society

CORE WORK

We facilitate youth development activities; create opportunities among youth to promote mutual understanding and peace through conflict transformation. We also develop entrepreneurial skills in youth to create new ventures to be business leaders to drive social ventures.
